Women Leadership in Local AEE Chapters

We are thrilled to see an increase in women taking leadership positions in chapters around the world. Please help us congratulate the new leadership!

Columbia River Chapter Board

From the Columbia River Chapter:

  • President: Elin Shepard
  • Vice-President: Gertrude Villaverde (she’s also our CWEEL Lead!)
  • Treasurer: Bill Kostich
  • Secretary: Candice Norton

This is a historic first for our chapter where 3 of 4 officer positions are women.

One of the many things I appreciate about our board is that all of the men are strong advocates of women in our chapter, both in leadership roles and day-to-day interactions. We also have a strong desire to bring the voice of emerging professionals to the table. While we were sad to see several long-standing board members leave this year, we are excited to see the new energy that the incoming folks infuse in the group.
