On June 7, 2022, CWEEL Saudi Arabia held a webinar titled ‘Saudi Arabian Women in STEM’ for female college students from Prince Nora University and King Abdul Aziz University. The webinar focused on how women STEM professionals can better position themselves for success, especially right after graduation. Panelists included: Ms. Hala Ballouz, an electrical engineer and the CEO and President of Electric Power Engineers, LLC, Ms. Abeer AlHarbi, an electrical engineer from the Saudi Ministry of Energy, and Ms. Maryam Al Saeed, an architect for Kabbani Construction Company. The program included an introduction to CWEEL, followed by a discussion where the panelists talked about their own career journeys and provided insights and advice on how to navigate the job market to excel and shine beside their male colleagues. They also talked about the importance of professional networking and seeking out mentors, both formal and informal. CWEEL’s Ms. Nalan Khalaf served as moderator.
