Amman, Jordan – CWEEL Jordan participated in the IEEE Women in Engineering (WIE) International Leadership Summit 2025, held from 6 to 8 December in Amman, through the contribution of its Liaison Officer, Eng. Suhair, who spoke on a panel titled “Driving Policy for Women in STEM.”

Organized by the IEEE WIE Affinity Group – Jordan Section under the theme “Women in Leadership,” the summit brought together women leaders, engineers, and experts from Jordan and abroad to promote women’s leadership, diversity, and inclusion in STEM fields.

During the panel discussion, Eng. Suhair highlighted the importance of enabling policies, institutional commitment, and cross-sector collaboration to support women’s participation and leadership in STEM, drawing on CWEEL’s experience in advancing gender inclusion and sustainability in the energy, water, and environmental sectors.

The event brought together a distinguished group of speakers from Jordan and abroad and was attended by approximately 160 participants, including engineers, academics, university students, industry representatives, and professionals from various sectors. The summit was widely recognized for its strong impact, high-quality discussions, and its contribution to advancing women’s leadership in engineering.

CWEEL Jordan’s participation reaffirms its commitment to supporting inclusive policies, knowledge exchange, and women’s leadership in STEM and sustainable development.
