| Description | The Marketing and Communications Committee is dedicated to enhancing the visibility and impact of CWEEL through strategic content creation and dissemination. Our responsibilities include writing and publishing events, news, and blogs on the CWEEL website to keep our community informed and engaged. We actively gather information from committee members, chapter liaisons, and membership groups about local CWEEL events to highlight our global influence. Additionally, we develop branded resources such as brochures, pop-up banners, and giveaways to support our groups and liaisons in their outreach efforts. |

| Task Expectations | The committee typically write blog posts, news articles, and event recaps. We post this information on the CWEEL website, promote it to our partners at AEE, and post ourselves on LinkedIn to our networks and closed groups. |

| Description | The Career Development Committee is dedicated to empowering women in the environmental and energy sectors by providing opportunities for professional growth and advancement. We organize events focused on imparting knowledge and practical skills that are essential for career progression. Our initiatives include creating tools and campaigns, such as the Seeing CWEEL social media campaign and a speaker's bureau, to help women gain visibility and recognition in the industry. We emphasize the development of both soft skills and technical skills, ensuring that our members are well-equipped to excel in their careers and make a significant impact in their fields. |

| Description | The Awards and Scholarships Committee is committed to recognizing and supporting the achievements of women in the environmental and energy sectors. Our primary responsibilities include reviewing and ranking scholarship applications from female students both in the US and internationally. Additionally, we select two outstanding CWEEL liaisons or leaders for the Champion Awards, one from the US and one internationally. We also manage and allocate the CWEEL budget to meet the needs of our scholarship and awards programs, ensuring that deserving candidates receive the recognition and support they need to advance their careers. |

| Description | The Chapter Liaison Committee plays a vital role in bridging the gap between the CWEEL Governing Council and local chapters. Chapter Liaisons are responsible for cross-sharing information and initiatives, ensuring that CWEEL goals, initiatives, and events are communicated effectively at the local level. They should include CWEEL updates as a standing agenda item in their local chapter meetings. Additionally, Chapter Liaisons have the opportunity to bring back best practices and valuable insights from their local chapters to the CWEEL Committee meetings, fostering a collaborative and informed community. |

| Task Expectations | The Committee doesn't have ongoing projects that comprise its workflow. It exists to liaise and ensure that chapters feel connected to CWEEL. |
| Estimated Time Commitment | Expected time commitment of 2-3 hours per month for both chapter and committee meetings. There is flexibility to add more time for additional activities, if desired. This is a very flexible position and can be as little or as much as the individual would like. |
| Description | The International Group Development Committee is dedicated to fostering the growth and success of CWEEL Groups worldwide. Our mission is to support each group as it forms, grows, and prospers, promoting women's leadership locally and within AEE Chapters and networks. We work to strengthen the brand and recognition of AEE's CWEEL activities, members, chapter leads, and liaisons, highlighting our global impact. Additionally, we aim to create a valued network of like-minded men and women through branded tools and resources, positioning AEE as a champion of women's leadership in the energy and environmental industries. |

| Description | The U.S. Events and Programs Committee is dedicated to enhancing the CWEEL experience through dynamic and engaging programming. We support CWEEL initiatives at AEE events, ensuring that our presence is impactful and meaningful. Our committee focuses on bringing soft skill development and fun engagement opportunities to both current and future CWEEL members. Additionally, we collaborate with other committees to support technical and educational programming, fostering a well-rounded and enriching environment for all members. |

By soliciting feedback and encouraging engagement from the international community, we tailor our events to meet their specific needs. Additionally, we seek partnerships with other international groups and associations to enhance our events and broaden our reach, promoting collaboration and shared learning across the energy and environmental sectors. |

| Description | The U.S. Membership Committee is composed of CWEEL Group Leads from across the United States. This committee meets monthly to support Leads in establishing new groups, growing their membership, and developing and delivering timely and valuable events for local groups. The Membership Committee Chair plays a crucial role in facilitating resource sharing between CWEEL groups and providing updates and resources from AEE, ensuring that all groups have the support they need to thrive. |

| Task Expectations | Members of the US Membership Committee are CWEEL Leads and independently work to build, grow, and sustain their local CWEEL group. The Group Leads additionally serve as thought partners to the Chair to develop member outreach strategies and help co-create resources that support the formation of new groups |
| Estimated Time Commitment | Expected time commitment of 1 hour monthly, 45-minutes for a monthly committee meeting. Additional time is decided upon group lead needs to successfully service as CWEEL officers on the local AEE chapter board of directors. |
| Description | The International Membership Committee is focused on increasing the visibility and recognition of AEE CWEEL international membership benefits to enhance engagement among both men and women members globally. We aim to strengthen and expand our international network by leveraging AEE's branded tools and resources, solidifying our reputation as a leading professional community in the sustainability fields. Our committee is dedicated to supporting the development of international AEE CWEEL members by providing opportunities for women to connect, share experiences, and support each other in their professional growth. |

We facilitate meaningful connections by advising on mentor-mentee matching based on professional goals, areas of expertise, and mutual interests. Our committee provides valuable insights and best practices drawn from experiences with other mentorship programs and personal industry experiences. Additionally, we explore other avenues to foster connections between women outside of formal mentorship programs, ensuring a supportive and enriching environment for all participants. |

| Description | The Fundraising and Sponsors Committee is essential in securing financial support for CWEEL events at AEE East, West, and World. Our primary responsibility is to obtain sponsors, typically 2-3, for the CWEEL Breakfast at these events. Additionally, we oversee scholarship fundraising efforts throughout the year, ensuring that we have the necessary resources to support our initiatives and recognize outstanding contributions in the energy and environmental sectors. |
