It will include an overview of each tool’s capabilities, examples of potential use cases, and completed case studies. This session is geared towards energy managers, facility managers, and anyone interested in improving the energy efficiency of their facilities.

About the Panel:
Erin Camp, PhD, is the Energy Sustainability and Analytics Program Manager at PowerOptions, where she leads a program providing sustainability advisory and data analytics to over 500 nonprofit members. With a decade of experience in energy consulting, her expertise includes electrification, renewable energy, energy storage, emissions inventories, and energy policy.

Carolyn Szum is an Energy and Environmental Policy Researcher at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory with more than 18 years of experience leading domestic and international building energy efficiency market transformation initiatives. She currently provides senior management and leadership on climate finance and investment for the U.S. Department of Energy’s (DOE) Net Zero World Initiative and serves as Principal Investigator (PI) for the U.S. DOE Building Efficiency Targeting Tool for Energy Retrofits (BETTER) software toolkit.

Travis Walter, PhD is a Technology Researcher at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory in the Building Technology and Urban Systems Division. His research focuses on energy efficiency in buildings, emphasizing statistical data analysis. He is also the technical lead on the Building Performance Database, analyzing the energy savings potential of new technologies and systems using experimental data.

Sydney Applegate is an ORISE Science Technology and Policy Fellow in the Department of Energy’s Building Technologies Office (BTO). Sydney leads the Efficient and Healthy Schools Program and the Building Energy Data and Tools Portfolio.
