On March 29, CWEEL New York Group hosted a virtual learning session, Empowering Your Career in Energy and Environment. We were excited to have Kimberly Giese, a veteran in energy and technology field, and Brendan Andersen, the founder of Climate People, joining us and give inspiring presentations about energy battery storage technology and skills that can improve our LinkedIn profiles.

Kimberly started with a video that introduces energy battery storage technology and its benefits at high level. She then gave an update about the status of incentives and grid support programs in Northeast markets. Since the event was hosted on a zoom call (sponsored by AEE), audiences were able to interact with Kimberly and discussed their questions in real time and the conversation was well engaged.

Brendan shared his precious insights on how recruiters identify qualified candidates on LinkedIn. He also gave several tips on how to upgrade our LinkedIn profiles so that they match what employers are looking for and differentiate ourselves. Many audiences found his recommendations very helpful for not only job searching, but also personal brand development.
