Shivani Saikar is currently an Energy Manger at Fermilab, a U.S. Department of Energy national laboratory located in Illinois. In this role, she leads initiatives focused on energy management, sustainability strategy, and cost optimization for a large research campus. Her work includes energy procurement, performance contracts, and development of programs that improve operational efficiency and support long-term sustainability goals. Prior to joining Fermilab, Shivani worked at Filsinger Energy Partners where she was involved on consulting engagements related to power sector restructuring, electricity market modeling, regular proceedings, and wildfire mitigation programs. Earlier in her career, Shivani worked at Blue Star where she prepared technical proposals and projects bids for MEP systems supporting major infrastructure projects, including metro train stations in India.
Shivani is an active member of Association of Energy Engineers and contributes to initiatives that support professional development and leadership within the energy community. She is also involved with the Illinois Green Alliance where she helps organize and implement education programs that advance dialogue within in Illinois’ green building community.
Shivani holds B.Tech. in Electrical Engineering from Veermata Jijabai Technological Institute, Mumbai, and M.S. in Energy Systems from Northeastern University, Boston. She is a Certified Energy Manager (CEM) and LEED Green Associate.
